Jeeps in the Community-

Severe Weather Assistance Team-
The Severe Weather Assistance Team (SWAT) of the Nova Scotia Jeep Club assists Capital Health in need of transportation assistance for their essential personnel during times of inclement weather. Such support is undertaken on a purely voluntary basis with the intent of the NSJC and it's membership to be active supporters within our various communities.

Cystic Fibrosis Foundation-
The Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Stephen Russell CF Fund are charities that are near and dear to the hearts of NSJC members. In 2006, we lost a beautiful soul, Ms. Tia Aulenback, to this illness. Every year on the date of her passing we celebrate her life with a charity run. We also find ways throughout the year to honour her memory by supporting others who are continuing the battle. To date, the NSJC has donated over $2500 to this important cause.

Feed Nova Scotia-
Few things are more important in someone's life than food. The NSJC believes in supporting all Nova Scotians who may be unable to put food on the dinner table. Every summer, we hold a picnic, an off-roading adventure and a food drive all in support Feed Nova Scotia. We look forward to continuing this tradition for many years to come.

Adopt-A-Highway-
Nova Scotia welcomes thousands of visitors each year and is home to almost a million people. The Adopt-A-Highway Program helps keep our province beautiful and clean. Each spring and fall, hundreds of volunteers carry out roadside clean-ups in their communities. This is a significant commitment to the environment. The NSJC is very pleased to be a part of this process, taking care of a 5 kilometre stretch of Highway 1 from exit 3 towards Sackville.

Trail Cleanup-
Trail cleanup is an essential part of our efforts toward long term sustainable trail use. Illegal dumping is costly for land owners to clean and difficult to enforce. NSJC members have removed tonnes of garbage and recyclables that are illegally dumped on trails. We will continue to partner with land owners whenever possible to help our environment.

Support The Troops-
NSJC members are located all over this province and all come from various walks of life. We are proud to have some members who are currently serving in the Canadian Forces and many others who are retired. We proudly support CFB Greenwood every winter with a "Support the Troops run" where members make donations to the cause and get to enjoy a great day of winter wheeling.

Q104 Toy Drive-
The NSJC proudly supports the annual Q104 Christmas Toy Drive in early December. Q104 and Halifax Professional Firefighters donate toys to children in need to help give them a Merry Christmas! Our members collect toys from family, friends, neighbours and co-workers to support this worthwhile event.
